Windows Media Center is one of the most used programs until date since Windows XP Media Center edition was launched back in the day. Steps to Install Windows Media Center on Windows 10

Carry out these instructions carefully and you will be able to use Windows Media Center on your Windows 10 PC without any problems.
  • Right click on _TestRights.cmd and choose Run as administrator.
  • A command window will open and some processes will go on.
  • Reboot your PC and open the folder once again.
  • Now, right click on the Installer.cmd file and choose Run as administrator.
  • The Windows Media Center will be installed in no time on Windows 10.
  • You can open the Start Menu and type Media Center and you will notice that Windows Media Center is now installed.
  • You can open it and you will notice that the good old Windows Media Center will start.

You might face some glitches

This is just a workaround, but many people report that it works without problems, but some also report that this is not working for many people. This port is still under development so just keep that in mind before installing it.

Install Windows 7 Games for Windows 10

It is important to know that just copying and pasting the EXEs or the games folder from Windows 7 will not get you functional games on Windows 10. There are a lot of registry changes that are needed to be done. This is why the set is bound into a setup file that you can use to easily install the games and you can play these games as soon as you install it.
Follow the procedure and you will get Windows 7 Games on Windows 10 in no time.
  • Head over to this MDL Forum page.
  • You will need to sign-up on the forum in order to gain access to the downloads.
  • Check and download the RAR file that says Microsoft Games for Windows 8 and Windows 10.
  • You can extract this RAR file using WinRAR.

How to Make Cortana Use Google Instead Of Bing in Windows 10

Option 1: Make Google Chrome your default browser

  • Head over to this link and download Google Chrome.
  • After you have installed it, just open Settings app from Start menu.
  • Start menu > Settings.
  • In the Settings app, just go to System > Default apps > Web Browser > Google Chrome.
  • Now open Google Chrome and head over to this link.
  • Install the extension and choose Google.
  • Now in Chrome, go to Settings and type “background” inside the search box.
  • Make sure the checkbox that says Continue running background apps while Chrome is closed is checked.

Option 2: Using Firefox

In case you don’t want to use or switch to Google Chrome, there is a simple way for Firefox users as well.
  • Set your default browser as Firefox using the same method as we explained in the Option 1 above.

  • Click on the Lens icon in the search box and click on Change Search Settings.
  • Now you will see the drop-down menu where you can choose the search engine of your choice.

How to Change Login Screen on Windows 10 Easily

Windows 10 is a major update to the Windows OS series from Microsoft. It fixed the major shortcomings that were present in Windows 8 and Windows 8.1. Microsoft decided to release Windows 10 directly by skipping Windows 9.

Windows 10 allows you to change the lock screen of your Windows 10 installation but changing the login screen can’t be done directly. There are tweaks and other third party tools available that can let you change the login screen of Windows 10 easily.
In this post, we are going to see how you can easily Change Login Screen in Windows 10.

Change Login Screen in Windows 10

We have options between setting a custom image as a background or a solid color instead of the default image. There are different ways to do this and let us list them one by one under a separate heading.

Change Login screen background to a solid color

This was possible in Windows 8 and Windows 8.1 by default but in Windows 10 this needs a small registry tweak. To make the registry changes, follow the below mentioned steps.
  • Press Windows button + R simultaneously and this will open the Run dialogue.
  • Type in regedit and press ENTER.
  • This start the Windows Registry Editor.
  • Browse to “HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\System”.
  • Create a new DWORD value named “DisableLogonBackgroundImage” with a value of “00000001”.
  • This will change the color of the login screen to the same color as your current Windows 10 accent.
  • To change the color go to Settings > Colors > Choose the color.
  • Sadly, you can’t mix the colors to create a custom color by default but you can do that with the hidden control panel.
  • Press Windows button + R again and enter the following command.
rundll32.exe shell32.dll,Control_RunDLL desk.cpl,Advanced,@Advanced
  • This will open the standard Windows color mixer and you will be able to choose a custom color accent.

Change Login screen to a custom image

There is no registry hack to change the default login screen image but you can use third party tools to do this. Keep in mind that this makes changes in core Windows system files so do this at your own risk. 
  • Head over to this link at the MDL Forums.
  • Now download the Windows 10 Login Changer and open it.
  • Just click inside the Window anywhere and choose an image that you want to set as your login background.
  • You can easily pick a custom image that is already existing on your PC or you can even download and choose the image.
  • You can open the Advanced tab to reveal more options like choosing from the color palette.
  • It is recommended that you Create a system restore point before applying the changes just in case you run into some problems. It will be easy to restore it back.

Planner Planner, a new addition to Office 365, is still in beta but is a key part of Microsoft's collaborative vision for Office. The name is self explanatory. Planner is a project management tool for managing tasks, deadlines, and progress for a group of workers. Many people create team schedules in apps such as Excel, which is a clumsy and static tool for keeping track of assignments and due dates for a large group. The approach to Planner? Fewer words, more design. Graphs and charts show who is working on which assignments, how much progress they have made, and when their project is due. It adds an element of transparency into the group collaboration process. Planner's user interface is similar to that of Delve, with buckets for different tasks. You can assign tasks and due dates, and later see which haven't been started and which are overdue. The idea is to provide enough structure to help groups manage assignments but not so much that it slows down the team. Is it effective? You'll soon find out. One key focus in the development of Office 2016 was enabling productivity by making it easier to manage crowded inboxes. Clutter is a new capability designed to manage your inbox and automatically flag messages that you delete without reading. It should be noted that Clutter is not a spam filter. The tool doesn't automatically hide notes from specific senders, Villaron explained. Rather, it's supposed to learn your individual behavior and store messages it thinks you don't want to read. Messages flagged by Clutter are not automatically deleted. Rather, they're stored in a separate Clutter folder. As it starts to understand your email habits, the tool will send a note to show you which messages were moved. This way, you can move items back to your inbox, or tell Clutter which email messages you prefer to receive. (Image: Microsoft)

This enables recipients to work on the most recent version of the document without sending several attachments between users. 'We really want to encourage people to embrace the cloud,' said Villaron, 'but Outlook gives the option to switch back to classic attachments for users who want to remain in control of their data.' Microsoft Has Released Windows 10 Build 10576 To Insiders

Microsoft has released a new build of Windows 10 to Insiders today that brings Fast ring users up to version 10576. This is the second build that Microsoft has released today, they pushed out a new version of Windows 10 Mobile that you can read about here.
In this release, Microsoft has added the ability to cast media from Edge which means that you can now use the browser to send video, picture and audio content from your browser to any Miracast or DLNA device.
With Cortana you can now highlight a word in a PDF and right-click to “Ask Cortana” to find more information about the topic.
What has been fixed in this build:
  • Microsoft fixed the issue where the Xbox app for Windows 10 would consume gigabytes of memory on your PC if you have any Win32 games (non -Windows Store games) installed on your PC that have been identified as games or added by you in the Xbox app.
  • Microsoft introduced an early preview of nested virtualization so that people could run Hyper-V Containers in Hyper-V virtual machines with Build 10565. This build includes performance improvements.
  • Microsoft addressed feedback around localization text UI in various languages and you’ll see a lot of that work in this build.
  • The search box should now work in this build if you are in a locale where Cortana is not available.
Known issues with this build:
  • To continue receiving missed call notifications and send texts from Cortana, you will need to be on this build and higher. Microsoft made a change that improves this experience that requires newer builds.
  • When notifications pop up from Action Center, any audio playing (like music from Groove, or videos from the Movies & TV app) gets reduced by 75% for a period of time.
  • After upgrading to this build, all your Skype messages and contacts are gone in the Messaging app. The workaround for this is to navigate to C:\Users\<USERNAME>\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.Messaging_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache in File Explorer and either delete or rename the “PrivateTransportId” file. Then restart the Messaging app. Additionally, you can install the app from the Store as an updated app.
  • Small form-factor devices, like the Dell Venue 8 Pro, that boot with rotation or virtual mode screen size set larger than the physical screen size will experience a bluescreen on upgrade and will roll back to the previous build.
  • After upgrading to this build, the power button on your Surface Pro 3 may no longer put your Surface Pro 3 to sleep and instead shut down.
  • WebM and VP9 have been temporarily removed from builds.
This build is another pre-release of the upcoming fall update (also known as Threshold wave 2) to Windows 10 that Microsoft will eventually push to all Windows 10 users. While the company has not announced the date of its release, it is expected to arrive in early November.
