Microsoft is Retiring Office Mix, Bringing Features Elsewhere
Microsoft has emailed users of its Office Mix add-on for PowerPoint today to inform them that retiring the service. Instead, the firm will roll the most popular Mix functionality into PowerPoint and Stream.
“We are retiring the Office Mix Preview service on M‍ay 1, 2‍018 and need you to take action to save your files,” the email notes. “Please make sure to migrate all of your content to a storage location of your choice before the retirement date to avoid losing any of your data.”
Microsoft introduced Mix over two years ago and presented it (ahem) as a way to turn unidirectional presentations into interactive online lessons that you can share with others. It seems to have been pretty popular with teachers and educators, trainers, and other presenters.
If you do use Mix, you can sign-in at the Office Mix website to access your content and export it or migrate it elsewhere. Those with qualifying accounts—meaning Office 365 commercial or education accounts—can migrate their content to Microsoft Stream. You can learn more about content migration here.
As for the future, Microsoft says that it will be adding the “best experiences of Office Mix” across PowerPoint, Stream, and Forms over time.
“Going forward, the new recording tab in PowerPoint will allow you to create a presentation that includes recorded slides, screen recordings, narrations, audio, ink, and videos,” the email notes. “In the coming months, we’ll be connecting Forms for interactive quizzes and Stream to the recording tab to become the new publishing experience. In the meantime, you can manually export and upload these videos to Stream or another hosting site of your choice.”

Microsoft Ships Major OneNote for Windows 10 Update

NOTE: If you want to use the permanently activation of office 2016 with lower price ,welcome to my store :http://www.mskeyoffer.com/
Microsoft this week is documenting a major update to OneNote for Windows 10. But only the select few Windows Insiders who signed up for the Skip Ahead ring, now closed to the public, can access the update.
So a few points of clarification here.
Windows 10 users can access two versions of the OneNote app. One, called OneNote for Windows 10, and the subject of this post, is a UWP mobile app that is included with Windows 10. The other, called OneNote 2016, is available for free from the web as a standalone desktop application, or via various Office 365 subscriptions.
(Confusing matters, Microsoft is bringing the desktop Office/365 suites to the Windows Store, but it is not porting OneNote 2016 as part of this effort. This suggests that OneNote for Windows 10 is “the future” of OneNote, and that at some point Microsoft might actually stop updating the desktop version of the application.)
And then there’s Skip Ahead, that most misbegotten of Windows Insider rings. As you may recall,Microsoft announced in July that it would temporarily offer a new ring to Insiders called Skip Ahead that would let them test Redstone 4, the version of Windows 10 expected in March 2018, instead of the Fall Creators Update (Redstone 3). But Skip Ahead wasn’t just temporary—it will be closed when the Fall Creators Update is completed—it was also limited to an unknown number of participants. So if you see today’s OneNote for Windows 10 news and think, gee, I’d really love to check that out, but you haven’t yet signed up for Skip Ahead—doh!—it’s already too late.
To recap, the features described below are coming to OneNote sometime after the release of the Windows 10 Fall Creators Update. And they can only be tested by a small group of Insiders in with PCs in the Skip Ahead ring at this time. Sorry.
So here’s what Microsoft has announced is new to OneNote for Windows 10 version 17.8568.5751.
Convert handwriting to text. Now, you can select handwritten notes in your notes and convert them to text. Just select the Lasso Select button on the Draw tab, drag a circle around the notes you want to convert, and then click Ink to Text.
New ink effects. Office 365 subscribers can access new lava, ocean, bronze, and rose gold ink effects from the Drawing tab.
New graph features. Office 365 subscribers can now calculate its new graphing features like minima, maxima, and axes intercepts.
Recent pages. New Forward and Back buttons above the Home tab can be used to navigate through the note pages you’ve already visited.
Paragraph links. Now, you can create a link to a specific paragraph and jump right to that content. “It’s a great way to make a quick table of contents at the top of a long page of notes, or copy the link and paste it in an email to help others find the specific content you want them to see,” Microsoft says.
Copy a hyperlink. Now, you can right-click a hyperlink in your notes and copy the link to the Clipboard so you can use it elsewhere.

Microsoft Announces Office 2019

NOTE: If you want to use the permanently activation of office 2016 with lower price ,welcome to my store :http://www.mskeyoffer.com/
In a brief announcement, Microsoft today said that it will ship Office 2019 late next year. The release is aimed at businesses and consumers who aren’t ready to move to the cloud.
“Office 2019 is the next perpetual update for Office,” Microsoft’s Jared Spataro writes. “This release will include perpetual versions of the Office apps (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and servers (including Exchange, SharePoint, and Skype for Business).”
Microsoft will preview Office 2019 in mid-2018, the firm says, and will ship the products by the end of the year.
As for new features, we only get a few details.
“Office 2019 will add new user and IT capabilities for customers who aren’t yet ready for the cloud,” Mr. Spataro notes. “For example, new and improved inking features—like pressure sensitivity, tilt effects, and ink replay—will allow you to work more naturally. New formulas and charts will make data analysis for Excel more powerful. Visual animation features—like Morph and Zoom—will add polish to PowerPoint presentations. Server enhancements will include updates to IT manageability, usability, voice, and security.”
“We recognize that moving to the cloud is a journey with many considerations along the way,” he concludes. “Office 2019 will be a valuable upgrade for customers who feel that they need to keep some or all of their apps and servers on-premises, and we look forward to sharing more details about the release in the coming months.”

Microsoft Explains Microsoft Edge for Android and iOS to Developers

NOTE: If you want to use the permanently activation of office 2016 with lower price ,welcome to my store :http://www.mskeyoffer.com/
Microsoft Explains Microsoft Edge for Android and iOS to Developers
In the wake of today’s surprise announcement about Microsoft bringing Edge to Android and iOS, the software giant has issued guidance to developers about how they should handle the new browsers.
The short version: There’s precious little they need to worry about.
“Microsoft Edge is coming to iOS and Android, bringing the best browsing experience on Windows 10 to more pockets around the world,” Microsoft’s Sean Lyndersay notes. “One of the most common web developer questions we’re expecting is – what engine are you using? Did you port EdgeHTML to iOS and Android?”
No. No, they did not.
Instead, and as expected, Microsoft is instead using the underlying web rendering engine that is available on each platform. On Android, that means Google Chrome and Blink. And on iOS, where they are, in fact, required to use this web rendering engine, that means Safari and WebKit.
“You can expect that, from a compatibility perspective, Microsoft Edge for Android will match the version of Chrome that is currently available for Android,” Lyndersay explains. “And Microsoft Edge for iOS should match the version of Safari that is currently available for iOS.”
In other words, developers don’t need to do a thing: If their sites work with Chrome and Safari—and they do—they will work fine with Edge on Android and iOS.
That said, Microsoft is providing a unique User Agent string for each browser for those developers that wish to know exactly which browser is running. Notably, those strings do not use the term “Edge” anywhere. We wouldn’t want to scare anyone

Hands-On With Cloud Clipboard Prototype in Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 17004

NOTE: If you want to use the permanently activation of office 2016 with lower price ,welcome to my store :http://www.mskeyoffer.com/
Microsoft’s cloud-powered clipboard – originally slated for Windows 10 Fall Creators Update – has finally materialized in a preview build of Windows 10 “Redstone 4”.
Well, sort of.
The feature isn’t wired up to the Microsoft Graph yet, so can’t display or manipulate any real data. But it came with placeholder content that provides a peek at how it will work.
Let’s take a look.
Similar to the Emoji Panel in Fall Creators Update, the clipboard management UI is opened via a keyboard shortcut – WINKEY + V in this case. A pop-up appears next to the caret, and it displays a list of items presently residing in your cloud clipboard – text snippets, documents, etc. (These items are sorted by copy time in descending order.) Some items may show a small cloud icon (☁) to indicate the content isn’t on your PC, meaning it will be pulled from the cloud if selected. (Selection of items is done via keyboard or mouse.)
Strangely, the prototype doesn’t show an obvious way to remove items from your cloud clipboard.
If you’re a touch keyboard user, fret not. There is a new clipboard button for easy one-tap access.
We Still Have Questions
Of course, without the real thing to play with, we still have lots of unanswered questions about how this will all work. For example, how do we manage this clipboard data? How many items can we stuff in there? How large can each item be? Can I exclude certain apps or snippets, like my LastPass passwords, from being automatically uploaded? Can I use this in the enterprise? (That one is for Mary-Jo Foley.) Will it be available outside the United States?
