Redmond seems all ready and raring to push Windows 8.1 towards the RTM status next week, at least according to insider sources familiar with the matter. However, there is no word on what build number will the RTM version carry.
A new report over at CNBeta claims that Microsoft has started compiling the final RTM version of Windows 8.1, if you want to buy wn 8 pro  pls click here just $39.99, and that it will come with the build number 6.3.9600.16384.
Other versions of Windows in the past have also utilized this final build number (9600), so this is not exactly the biggest surprise in the world.
What could be, however, is if Microsoft is saving some more big changes for the very last.
But as of right now there is no indication that any extensive changes could be made to the upcoming operating system. The recently leaked builds are said to be very close to how the final RTM version will look and feel, but you never know.
Microsoft, obviously, does not comment on these kinds of reports, so it is best to take stories like this with a grain of salt while waiting for Windows 8.1 to hit RTM, which it should do in just a few days.
The new operating system will officially be available for end users on October 18.
Users that are already running Windows 8, on the other hand, will be able to download the upgrade from the Windows Store several day earlier.
